MISSIONS

THE GOAL OF WOODLAWN MISSIONS IS TO IDENTIFY THOSE IN NEED OF THE GOSPEL, INVITE THEM TO JESUS, INVEST IN THEM THROUGH DISCIPLESHIP AND INCREASE THE KINGDOM OF GOD BY SENDING OUT DISCIPLE MAKERS FROM WOODLAWN AND PARTNERING WITH OTHER MISSIONARIES LOCALLY, NATIONALLY AND ABROAD.

Nationally and abroad, Woodlawn is currently partnering with:

  • Churches in Germany by supporting a seminary and internship program.
  • Northeastern Baptist College and Williamstown Community Church in VT, and Living Hope Community Church in MA.
  • The Pate family in Brazil through Reaching and Teaching ministries.
  • The IMB and NAMB through the annual "Lottie Moon" and "Annie Armstrong" offerings, respectively, and in cooperation with the SBC.

“Go therefore and make disciples of all nations…”Matthew 28:19-20

Serving in Missions

The WBC Missions Ministry offers an annual short-term missions trip. For example, In the past our church has taken teams to Belize, and since 2024 we have traveled to southern Vermont (Bennington) and northern Massachusetts (North Adams) to support gospel efforts in that region of the US. If you would like to participate in a short term missions trip or explore other ways that you can support our missions ministry, please contact the WBC missions deacon.

Regional Partnership

NOrtheastern, US

The region of our country that is most in need of the gospel is the Northeast where states like Vermont are reported to be less than 2% Christian. We have strategically targeted partnerships in this region because of a conviction to take the gospel to the places where it isn't. We currently have 3 partnerships in this region: Northeaster Baptist College, Williamstown Community Church, and Living Hope Community Church. Please click the photos below to visit their websites and learn more about their work and ministry.

Giving & Sending

Not everyone is able to go as a missionary, but there are excellent opportunities to send a missionary.  We have three church wide campaigns each year.  The Lottie Moon mission campaign occurs around Christmas and is for international missions.  The Annie Armstong campaign occurs around Easter and is for home missions. The Operation Christmas Child is special as it occurs  at VBS.
